For 23 years the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes were Oregon professional baseball. Five championships, over a hundred players who went on to the majors, and a celebrated run as the Class A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Then it ended. I was their team photographer for the final season — on the field, in the dugout, for every moment of a team that didn't yet know it was playing its last games. These photos are what's left.
